Obituary for Arlyn Albert Sarauer

Arlyn A. Sarauer, 78, of Plymouth passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021. He was surrounded by his family at the time of passing at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Arlyn was born on June 4, 1943 to the late Vernon and Esther (nee: Dewitz) Sarauer in Fond du Lac, WI. He graduated from Kewaskum High School in 1961. Arlyn married Kay L. Schuppel at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend on April 24, 1965 and they were blessed with two children. Arlyn was employed by the city of West Bend, joining the Fire Department on July 1, 1969. He had many promotions throughout his career and retired as a Battalion Chief in 2000. Arlyn loved spending time with his family, being outdoors, fishing, and long walks with his beloved dog, Chloe.

Survivors include his two daughters: Laurie Sekeres and Tammy (Dale) Singer, six grandchildren: Kaitlin and Rebekka Sekeres, Jessica (Sean) Meade, Kyle, Jacquelynn and Andrew Singer, and great-grandson: Jackson Sekeres. He is further survived by two sisters: Mary Sonnentag and Jo Ann (Donald) Norton, seven brothers: David (Mary), Roger (Linda), Glenn (Carol), Gary (Karen), Vernon Jr., Richard (Lisa), and Frank (Rose) Sarauer, sister-in-law: Darlene Sarauer, brother-in-law: Thomas Schuppel, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Kay, his parents, brothers: Joseph and Robert Sarauer, his sister: Elizabeth Schnieder, sister-in-law: Pam Sarauer, father- and mother-in-law: Earl Willard and Marion (nee: Molter) Schuppel, brother-in-law: Kenneth Schuppel, sister-in-law: Sharon Schuppel, and nephews: Chad and Michael Sarauer.

Private family services were held.
