Obituary for Armand Oscar ""Ozzie"" Becker

Armand Oscar ‘Ozzie’ Becker age 84 of West Bend, WI passed away unexpectedly in his home Saturday, January 5, 2019.
Armand was born on March 7, 1934 in Jackson, WI to Oscar and Viola (Krueger) Becker. He graduated from West Bend High School in 1952 and was united in marriage to Shirley Schacht in 1955.
Armand was a hard-working farmer for most of his life until he retired soon after his father passed away in 1989. He continued to help out other friends and family for many years. Shirley and Armand moved from their Jackson home to West Bend in 1996, where they have lived since.
Armand will be dearly missed and remembered by all who knew him. He was a very kind man who had an uncanny ability to remember a name and face of all those he met. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and golfing. He was involved in several farm co-ops and was a Town of Jackson’s Supervisor and then Chairman for several years. He was also the President of the Last Home Cemetery in Jackson until his passing. Armand enjoyed listening to polka music, word searches and puzzles, as well as taking care of the birds and animals in the yard (except for the chippies).
Armand is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley, his daughters Deborah Becker (Kathy Young), Deanne Miller, Dawn Koopman (Mark); his grandchildren Megan, Leah, Claire, Dan, Katie, and Ellie; and his twin sister Arlene Schneider. He is further survived by many other loved relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son Dan, his parents Oscar and Viola, his brothers Lee and his wife Margaret, Robert and his wife Laverne, Allen and his wife Mary, his sister Dorothy Smith and her husband Robert and his twin sister Arlene’s husband Calvin Schneider. His nephews Jim, Bobby Jr, and Skip as well as his niece Diane.
