Upon returning from service, he resumed working at Gehl Company until his retirement in 1992. His career spanned 44 years, 32 of them as assembly supervisor.

He was also a member of St. Francis Cabrini Church, Gehl Hexelbank, Moose Lodge 1398, and Knights of Columbus. He maintained a large, immaculate yard and garden until the age of 87.
