Obituary for Caroline Beatrice Kreis

Loving daughter, sister, best friend, sweet aunt, Caroline Beatrice Kreis, passed away on April 19, 2024, after a swift battle with cancer.  Caroline was 69 years of age.

Caroline was born to Harry William and Caroline Ruth Kreis on December 20, 1954, in West Bend, Wisconsin.  Caroline was a born-again Christian, recognizing the need for Jesus as her personal Savior in the late 1990's. At that time, she was a member of the Church of Decorah Hills in her hometown of West Bend.  She had an enormous love for Jesus and endeavored to have everyone she knew realize their need for Him in their lives.  In her home she always had a Bible within reach and an Oswald Chamber's devotional at her bedside, brimming with notes how she would apply God's Word to her life.  She enjoyed her time spent with her dear friend, Alice, as they studied the Bible together.  Caroline was passionate about sharing the love of Jesus and was an integral part of bringing others to know the Lord.

Caroline graduated high school in 1973 and took a full-time position with the (then) West Bend Mutual Insurance Company.  She remained with WBM for 25 years, retiring in the late 1990's.

Caroline had a passion for sewing, making quilts, counted cross-stitch, cooking and baking, planning meals and parties, and leaving treats on her neighbors' shelves.  She blessed her friends and family countless times with her talents.  Caroline was known for her kind and gentle spirit; if she had something you needed, she gave it without a second thought.  She was a beacon of hope, light, love and joy to all who knew her.

She joins her father, Harry W Kreis Sr., and her brother Fritz Harry Kreis, in Heaven.  Caroline is survived by her sweet mom, Caroline Ruth Kreis; her loving family including sisters Lucille (Mark) Kissinger, Susan Kreis, and Bernice (Ron) Behlke; her brothers Karl (Lori) Kreis, and Harry W. Kreis Jr.  She is further survived by many nieces and nephews to include Sheila, Laura, Mark, Joe, Melissa, Kendra, Chloe, Mitch, David and Sarah.  She is dearly missed by her 3rd floor "peeps" in her apartment complex; Barb, Chris, Ginny, Stuart and dearest Michael to mention a few.

A private family gathering is planned for a date yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Washington County Humane Society (3650 WI-60 Trunk, Slinger, WI 53086).

A special thank you to the staff at the Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon.

Now that Caroline has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of her physical life on earth, it is the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for Caroline.
