Obituary for Charles Stephen "Chuck" Geiger Jr.
Charles “Chuck” Stephen Geiger Jr. MD, age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at his home in West Bend with his family. He was born on June 24, 1938 in Chicago, IL to Charles S. Sr. and Thelma (nee Johnson) Geiger. He was a graduate of Holy Angels School, West Bend High School, University of Notre Dame and Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. On his birthday, June 24, 1961, he married his love, Anne-Lee Johnston. He served as a Medical Officer in the U.S. Army in Germany for 2 years. Then he served his residency at Milwaukee County General Hospital and went on to practice Internal Medicine in West Bend at the General Clinic for 33 years. He then retired to enjoy traveling, art, sports, boating, Washington Island and especially time with his wife and family.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anne-Lee; children, Kathleen (Scott) Dewey, Patricia (Joe) Steigerwald, John (Michele), Robert (Jennifer), Joseph (Amy); grandchildren, Andrew (Robyn) Hoffman, Heidi (Jake) Koeshall and Danny Hoffman, Alex Dewey, Edward, Anne, Maria, Samuel, Matthew and Teresa Steigerwald, Benjamin and Luke Geiger, Jackson, Allison, Kathryn and Charles Geiger, Evelyn and Elise Geiger; great-grandchildren, Florence Hoffman and June Koeshall; sisters, Barbara Desmond, Susanne (Thomas) Holsen; siblings-in-law, Robin Vogen, Edward (Nancy) Johnston, Solveig (Richard) Hoeg, Peter (Linda) Johnston and his beloved dog, Jordy. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law Solveig Johnston and brother-in-law Harry Desmond.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00PM on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N 8th Ave. West Bend, WI 53095) with Fr Howard Haase presiding. Visitation will be at church prior on Thursday, November 3rd from 11:00AM until 12:45PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Holy Angels Parish School (230 N 8th Ave. West Bend, WI 53095) or the Full Shelf Food Pantry in West Bend (231 Municipal Dr. West Bend, WI 53095).
