“Tina”

Diagnosed with Stage IV Glioblastoma Multiforme Brain Cancer in May 2023, Tina passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 6, 2024, at the age of 59. She was born in Richfield, WI on December 22nd, 1964, to the late James and Dorothy (nee Jeranek) Zimpelman. Tina graduated from Hartford High School in 1984 and married the love of her life, Edward “Ed” Nowak, on June 16, 1990, at United Methodist Church in Richfield, WI. She worked as a waitress and hostess at the Wallace Lake Supper Club, Hankerson’s Bakery, Sausage Plus, and in food service for the West Bend School District.            


Tina loved riding with Ed on their motorcycle and participating in various motorcycle benefits and fundraisers. Tina also greatly enjoyed baking, walking her beloved dog Oliver, gardening, camping at Timber Trails Campground, exploring the state's many wineries, and spending time in Door County with her family and friends.  When her children were younger, Tina adored participating in countless school functions, activities, field trips, and wherever else she was needed for the West Bend School District.

Tina is survived by her husband of 34 years, Edward Nowak; children Joshua Nowak (27) and Natasha Nowak (24), and her beloved dog Oliver;

siblings– Brian (Karen) Zimpelman, Allen (Evelyn) Zimpelman, and Eve (Scott) Teschendorf

other family—Helen (Jim) Lesniak, Alex Nowak, Henry Nowak, Marcy (Todd) Loessin, Jim Nowak, Angie Gruling, Don Nowak, Ron Nowak, Mary Nowak.


She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 11:00AM until 12:45PM, with a 1:00PM Memorial Service at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend. Following the service there will be food in the banquet hall on the premises. The burial will be private at a later date. 

The family would like to thank Froedtert Medical Hospital and their Neurology team for their efforts, The Help Center in West Bend for the rental of equipment we needed, and Horizon Hospice for allowing her to remain in her home for the remainder of her life.
