Obituary for Clayton Eric Margelowsky

Clayton E. Margelowsky, age 45, passed away on October 23, 2022 at his home in West Bend. He was diagnosed with kidney cancer a little over one year ago; he fought hard and remained strong and positive throughout this battle. He was born on March 2, 1977 in Hartford, Wisconsin to Dana (Wingers) and Michael Margelowsky.

Clayton was a devoted father, an amazing musician, artist, and writer. He inspired this creativity in his three sons. He loved the outdoors and nature, especially fishing and hiking, or golfing with his boys. Clayton was a kind and thoughtful soul. He was a great friend to many and had an excellent wit and sense of humor. Clayton had a knack for fixing anything and was always happy to help others. He was employed with Johnson and Sons Paving and enjoyed his work and the team he worked with.

He is survived by three sons--Isaac, Ryder, and Carson; his parents-- Michael (Peggy) and Dana; his brothers-- Aaron Margelowsky and Lee Maramonte; Aunts and Uncles—Laura (Dave) Kraus, Eric (Diane) Margelowsky, Kathryn Margelowsky, Matthew Wingers, Michael Wingers, as well as cousins, other relatives, and friends. Clayton will be deeply and sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Clayton is preceded in death by his brother, Jason; grandparents, Shirley and Ray Margelowsky, Robert Wingers, and Diana and Gerald Schlaugat; and his cousin, Nicholas Kraus.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 28, 2022 3pm-7pm at Riverside Park Pavilion. 700 E. Kilbourn Ave. West Bend, WI 53095. Please come to honor Clayton and share your memories.

A special thank you to Nicola Wochinski for her care and compassion in the last few weeks, and to Clayton’s oncology team with Froedtert, hospice team with Horizon, and care team with My Choice. Thank you also to family and friends for the love and support you have shown Clayton, Tara, and their boys.
