Donald “Don” A. Christenson
January 10, 1922—April 21, 2019
Don Christenson, 97, formerly of West Bend, passed away peacefully on Easter at his home in Montgomery, Alabama. On May 1, 1943 he married his wife, Betty, had their daughter, Linda and 74 memorable years together that included many travel adventures. Don was president of the specialty steel division of the West Bend Company and retired in 1984. Together Don and Betty entertained distributors of the West Bend Co. and made many friends around the world. In 1988 they moved to Montgomery, Alabama, where they loved gardening, traveling, and their family of dogs. Don was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and card player. He will be remembered for his great stories, passion for life and his sense of humor. “Ol’ Don” will be dearly missed by many. Betty, passed away in 2017 and they will once again be reunited.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at the Washington County Memorial Park. Pastor Sue Lee officiating.
