Obituary for Estelle Esther Vaichinger (Spiegelberg)
Estelle Vaichinger, (nee Spiegelberg), was carried home to her Saviors arms on August 15, 2020 at the age of 87.
Estelle was born February 18, 1933 to Walter and Meta (Nielsen) in the town of Almon, Wisconsin. She was baptized April 9th, 1933 and confirmed March 20, 1947 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. She has 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Irene, Henry, Bernard and Alice. Estelle married Kenneth Vaichinger and they made a home together in New Berlin where they raised three children Susan, Kenneth and Lisa. Estelle worked as a church secretary at Good Shepherds Lutheran church in West Allis. She spent the majority of her career working as secretary to the president of Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.
Estelle, affectionately called “Grandma Meow”, loved nothing more than spending time with her grandkids, and also enjoyed, gardening, cooking delicious meals for her family, and making dollhouses. Those Estelle leaves behind to cherish her memory are her children Susan (Tim) Broaddrick, Kenneth (Debbie) Vaichinger, and Lisa (Tim) Sands; 12 grandchildren Danielle (Chris), Jesse (Krista), TJ (Brittany), Melissa (Todd), Jonathan, Shannon, Anthony, Maggie, William, Callie, Aimee, Thomas; 9 great grandchildren, with two more on the way; other relatives including her 4 siblings. She is reunited in heaven with her infant daughter Karen and dear grandson, Joseph Vaichinger
The family would like to thank all the wonderful and loving caregivers at Serenity Villa in Slinger who devoted the highest quality of service and care possible during her final months. We also extend a heartfelt gratitude to Pastor Bruce Marggraf and Pastor Matthew Schaewe from Faith Sussex. Estelle was a woman of faith and so grateful for the quality time you spent with her over the last few months; we cannot thank you enough.
Following a private funeral service, she will be laid to rest at the Evergreen Cemetery to await the day of resurrection. To live is Christ, to die is gain.
