Obituary for Frederick Theodore "Sonny" Ruhnke
Frederick Theodore “Sonny” Ruhnke, age 89, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Facility in West Bend. He was born on October 21, 1934 to Frederick and Elizabeth (nee Haug) Ruhnke. The things he loved to do was watch his movies, old TV shows and especially spend time with his family.
Sonny is survived by his 5 children, Annette (John) Szep, John (Debbie) Ruhnke, James (Julie) Ruhnke, Connie (Robert) Ruhnke, Mary (Paul) Polter; grandkids, Frank (Ann) Rudzitis, Sherry (Cean) Ryan, Angie (Nic) Loehe, Patrick Ruhnke, Dan (Crystal) Ruhnke, Mark (Amanda) Reason, Joe (Casey) Ruhnke, Matt Reason, Melinda (Matt) Feucht, C J Reason; great-grandkids, Dylan, Savanna, Austin, Jesse, Lorelai, McKayla, Bentley, Gavin, Peyton, Corey, Payton, Kelsey, Caleb, Liliana, Aiden, Morgan, Isabella, Hope, Kemper and Jema. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sonny is preceded in death by his wife Shirley, his parents, brother Doug Ruhnke and granddaughter Melissa Ruhnke.
A Memorial Service will be at 11:00AM on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) with Deacon Sherie Kruse presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 28th from 10:00AM until 10:45AM.
