“Greg”
Passed peacefully on Thursday, August 17, 2023, with his family by his side, at the age of 72. He was born in Postville, Iowa, the son of the late Robert and Gertrude (nee Harris) Bluck. Greg moved to Wisconsin in his early 20's to try out a number of jobs before finding his passion of selling Toyotas which he did for over 30 years, before retirement. He only "retired" for a few months before getting back into the automotive business as a driver where he appreciated chatting with customers as he'd drive them around, always sharing the Gospel when he could. He worked full-time until a few weeks before his passing. He was a longtime member of Brookfield Assembly of God Church where he was active in community outreach and church activities. Greg enjoyed road bicycling, spending time with his daughters, playing with his grandchildren, bargain hunting, and taking care of his car, "the smoothest ride in town." His mornings consisted of spending time in God's word, and his daily cup of freshly ground, dark roast black coffee.
Greg is survived by his daughters Sarah (Daniel) Neacsu, Emily Hangartner, and Elise Hangartner; grandchildren Bentley, Deonté, Isabella, Della, and Eden; former wife Joanne Hangartner (nee Schoultz). He is further survived by a sister Sandra (Dale) Echard; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews; other relatives and friends. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Jack, Jerry, Joyce, Joann, and Judy.
A gathering time will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 2:00PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:30PM, at Calvary Church, 1110 E. Decorah Rd., West Bend. The family has asked you not wear black, but bright colors please, in memory of Greg.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Joanne and Daniel, and the Horizon Home Care & Hospice Staff.
