Obituary for Gregory Dale Neill
Gregory Dale Neill, age 70, passed away on September 19, 2023, at his home in White Lake, WI. He was born on October 21, 1952 in Massachusetts to Allen and Beatrice (nee Ward) Neill. In his childhood years the family moved frequently, living in different states due to his father’s work. He lived in the West Bend area from middle school age until 2021. He then moved to White Lake, WI where he enjoyed the peacefulness of the Northwoods.
He graduated from West Bend East High School with the class of 1971. After high school he followed in his father’s footsteps and became a journeyman steamfitter, something he was very proud of. He worked on major construction projects mostly in southeastern Wisconsin. Some of the notable projects were numerous power plants, hospitals, breweries, and multiple high-rise buildings. He was looking forward to receiving his 50-year pin from the Local 601 union in October of this year.
On April 5, 1987 he married Brenda Laubenstein. Together they had two sons, Jeff and Ross. He was very proud of his sons and enjoyed watching them play sports throughout their school years. Always having lunch at Taco Bell every Saturday until the boys went off to college. Greg passed on the love of hunting, fishing, trap shooting, snowmobiling and attending sprint car races to both of his sons.
Greg enjoyed motorcycles, cars, trucks, boating, hunting, fishing, driving his UTV, attending sprint car races and trap shooting which he excelled at. Often scoring 50, 75, 100 and even 250 straight.
Gregory is survived by his 2 sons; Jeff (Chelsie) Neill, Ross (Jessi Wagner) Neill, grandchildren; Harper and Adalyn Neill, siblings; LaDonna Neill, Eddie (Linda) Neill, Linda (Clarence) Maas. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service will be at 12:00PM on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr West Bend, WI 53095). Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 27th from 10:00AM until 11:45AM. Entombment will immediately follow the service at Washington County Memorial Park.
