Irene Emma Brenner (nee Ronnei), age 90, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 at New Perspective in West Bend. She was born on December 26, 1931 in Eau Claire, WI to Oscar and Mabel (nee Bonnesville) Ronnei. Irene married Donald Brenner and they raised their family in Wauwatosa. She was an elementary school teacher in the Elmbrook School System for 25 years. After retirement she lived in Florida for 20 years. While there, she was an active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sun City Center, FL. Irene moved back to West Bend to be with family about 5 years ago. She loved gardening, baking and making quilts. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

Irene is survived by her children, Michael, Susan Brahe, Steven (Michelle); grandchildren, Krista, Charlie (Susie), Sarah and Alex; great-grandchildren, Laila, Jonah, Lydia, Luna, Nadia and Ava. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Irene is preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald, her parents, siblings Stanley (Lorraine) Ronnei and Clarice Reitz and her daughter-in-law Terrie Brenner.

A Memorial Service will be held on a later date.
