Obituary for James Michael "Jim" Hoeppner

James Michael Hoeppner... Mentor to many, and a friend to all.

Jim passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the age of 54 at Froedtert Hospital in West Bend. “Jimbo” lived in Jackson, WI with his beloved wife Lisa Hoeppner. He was born on May 26, 1967 in Milwaukee, WI to Donald and Marian (nee Svikel) Hoeppner.

His family, friends, and colleagues knew him as a man who exuded happiness, dedication, and positivity. A Major in the U.S. Army, Jim was proud of his twenty-two years of military service. In his free time, he was someone who appreciated “tottie time” on the back porch and family trips “up north” at the Eagle River cabin. He was a wonderful father and loving husband who enjoyed early morning runs with his daughter, watching sporting events with his sons, and traveling with his wife. A family man in every sense of the word, Jim will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

James is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Lisa (nee Amos); His children Nicholas Hoeppner (Tyler Dehn), Amanda (Alex) Nannetti, and Zachary Hoeppner. He is further survived by his brothers Richard (Dawn) Hoeppner and Terry (Jen)
Hoeppner, his sister Donna Crangle, his in-laws Mark (Nancy) Amos and Jeff (Jennifer) Amos, as well as other loving relatives and friends.

James preceded in death by his father and mother, Donald and Marian Hoeppner, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Joan Amos, and other loved family members.

A Funeral Service will be at 4:00PM on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) with Fr. Richard Stoffel presiding. Military Honors to follow. Visitation will be at the funeral home on
