James (Jim, Jimmy, "J") Michael Zimdars was born in (Hartford) WI on November 20, 1959 and passed away peacefully surrounded by his siblings and nephew on January 26, 2022 after a long illness.
Jim was an amazing communicator. His funny recounting of life's events were greatly enjoyed at family functions and at meals with friends. His skill as a speaker became his employment: as a masterful minister, a teacher of 3rd graders who changed their destinies, and in the hospitality industry where he thrived as a waiter and as a hotel employee. Nothing made him happier than to provide excellent service to a customer.
Jim loved the Arts. He loved to sing and was in several choirs throughout his life. He loved to make arrangements out of songs. He enjoyed the theater and appeared in several productions during his life including "How Great Thou Art", "A Christmas Carol", and "Jesus Christ Superstar".
Jim is survived by his siblings: Harry (Beverley) Zimdars, Lynda (Paulie) White, and Lisa Zimdars. He has a number of nieces and nephews He remained close to his ex-wife and soul mate Lisa Glass Zimdars and has a good friends Drew Phillips and Karen Algiers.
Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents Leo and Florence Miller, Leona and Harold Zimdars, his parents Harry and Joanne Zimdars, his brother Greg Zimdars.
A Memorial Service for Jim will be held at 5:30 pm on Tuesday February 15th at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr West bend) with Lisa Glass Zimdars presiding. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 pm until 5:15 pm.
