Obituary for Janine Ann Stoffel (Nehrbass)
Janine Ann Stoffel (nee Nehrbass) of Jackson, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, January 12, 2024, at the age of 87. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Dolores “Dolly” Nehrbass (nee Weiss). Janine married her high school sweetheart the late Richard H. Stoffel on August 28, 1954.
Janine was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was also a proud housewife of Pleasant Valley Farm for over 60 years. She loved to entertain guests, host family parties and card club. Janine was a member of St. Frances Cabrini, oversaw bingo concessions and was the cook of many church functions. She also worked at Hankerson’s Bakery in West Bend.
Janine is survived by her loving children Randal Stoffel, Bruce (Janet)Stoffel, Debra Stoffel, and Jennifer Stoffel. She is further survived by her grandchildren Rob Stoffel, Laurel (Curt) Lawrence, Jessica Komp, Holly (Aaron) Bergman, Blaise (Riva), Travis and Kiley Oakley, great-grandchildren Audrey Stoffel, Aysia Lawrence, Jackson Mittnacht, Olivia Nelson, Archer Bergman, Elizabeth Komp, Sirena Oakley, Travis Oakley, Elias and Ezekiel Saloka, and Gianni Oakley; sister Julianne Witte; sisters-in-law Linda Nehrbass, Carol Nehrbass, Nancy Nehrbass; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her husband Richard; parents Peter and Dolly Nehrbass, brothers James, Jerry, and Joel Nehrbass; sister Janet (Robert) Flasch; brother-in-law David Witte.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 10:00AM until 10:45AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM, at St. Frances Cabrini (1025 S. 7th Ave), with Father Kevin Harmon presiding. Interment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park.
