Obituary for Jeffrey G. "Jeff" Giese

Jeffrey Gene Giese

Jeffrey Gene Giese of Allenton, WI passed away on May 24th, 2023 after 68 years as a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Born to Marvin and Marian on October 4, 1954, Jeff grew up in Mayville, Wisconsin. He and his seven siblings were raised on a farm – learning a strong work ethic and developed a love for the road through dozens of family excursions in the camper.

If you asked a hundred people who Jeff was, you would get a hundred different responses. Truck driver. Bourbon lover. Bird watcher. Advice giver. Packer fan. But to Jeff and his loved ones, his biggest role was that of a family man; husband, father, and much-adored Papa.

Passionate in everything that he did, Jeff spent 38 years of his life driving truck. The bulk of those years was as a long-distance driver for Kreilkamp Trucking, which allowed him to see the country coast to coast. Some of his favorite exploring, however, was done closer to home. If he wasn’t on a quick trip to the A-frame or Minoqua you could find him dropping a line at the local fishing hole. Jeff also enjoyed pursuing the better things in life. From woodworking to baking – he spent most of his time crafting something to share with family and friends.

Jeffrey leaves behind his loving (and ever-patient) wife of 41 years, Kay and four children; Travis (Jessica) Giese, Bobbijean (Andrew) Carey, Allie (Tom) Pappenfus, and Calvin; as well as his nine grandchildren; Ellie, George, Declan, Henry, Duke, Boden, Lewis, Archie, Olivia; and his best pal Rudy. Siblings Terry (Shelley) Giese, Rita (Fred) Nichols, John (Laurie) Giese, Jay Giese, Scott Giese, Lorna (Billy) Gensch. Preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Marian Giese, and his brother Richard.

In Jeff’s honor, a gathering for friends and family will be held on Monday, May 29th from 3 – 6pm at Allenton Veteran’s Memorial Park 127 First Street Allenton, Wisconsin.

Those wishing to honor Jeff’s life-long commitment to his country and community can make donations to Wounded Warriors or The West Bend Gingerbread House (make checks out to “Youth & Family Project” with memo “Gingerbread House” and mail to 630 Elm St West Bend, WI 53095).
