Jeffrey “Gooch” Norman Gudex, age 54, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Kathy Hospice in West Bend. He was born July 16, 1965, in West Bend, WI to Norman and Lois (nee Dross) Gudex.

Jeff was a graduate of West Bend East High School in 1983 and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 1987. Jeff excelled at his career in sales and marketing of consumer products and was employed most recently at Saz’s BBQ Products. Jeff was married to his former wife Pam Gudex at St. Mathews Church in 1989.

Jeff was a loving father, son, brother, and friend to everyone. The pride and joy of Jeff’s life were his three daughters. His girls will miss his humor and advice most. Jeff was a sports fanatic; he was a proud Wisconsin Badger season ticket holder and loved attending games with friends and his daughters. Jeff was a successful basketball coach and enjoyed playing softball with LR Trophy and Kruepke Trucking. He was the founder of the Holy Angels Golf Classic in 2003 and was a committed member of Holy Angels Parish.
Jeff is survived by his daughters Amelia “Mali” (Alex) Mottet, Kyra, and Leah Gudex; father, Norman Gudex; brother, Jerome Gudex; and many more family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Chloe Gudex and mother Lois Gudex.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 6:00 PM at Holy Angels Parish (138 N 8th Avenue, West Bend, WI 53095) with Fr Jerome Repensek presiding. Visitation will be at Holy Angels from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Park in the south parking lot. A private burial will be held.
A special thank you to the many doctors and nurses at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin and the staff at Kathy Hospice for their loving care.

To continue to remember Jeff, the family would appreciate photos with memories written on the back brought to the visitation.

I’ve been blessed to have had Jeff as a colleague and friend. I’ll always remember the humorous competitive sparring and practical jokes we’d share at trade shows and customer outing. We'd celebrate successes together and provided support when things weren’t going as hoped. He will be truly missed.

I'm so sorry for your loss! Jeff and I worked together for Hillshire for several years, and in fact Jeff was my boss there for at least a couple years - later Jeff and I also worked together for Acosta, and that's when I got to know him better. I've never met you Mali, Kyra, and Leah, but I do feel like I know you, as Jeff and I spent many hours discussing what was going on with our families, and I know that nothing was more important to him than his 3 girls, and he was so very proud of your accomplishments!
One of my favorite memories of Jeff was the time that we had a Hillshire meeting in the Dells, and one late night, after some "liquid courage" took effect, he and another co-worker (Ryan Smith) got up to sing karaoke, and while their version of "Taking Care of Business" certainly didn't win any prizes, but it did get a rousing ovation!

Again, my condolences! I'll miss you Gooch, rest in peace!
