Obituary

Jeffrey “Jeff” F. Spaeth, age 60, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born on December 5, 1958 in Hartford, WI to Joseph W and Betty (nee Tesselaar) Spaeth.

Jeff graduated from Slinger High School in 1977. He enjoyed taking rides on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, fishing (but rarely catching anything), watching Packer games, and drinking Busch Light with his neighbor and friends. Jeff loved to laugh and make others laugh. His “girls” were the most important part of his life.

Throughout the years, Jeff held many jobs. He drove semi-truck, hauled milk, and for the past 18 years he worked for the Washington County Highway Department. Through all of these jobs, Jeff met so many people who left a lasting impact on his life.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Dawnmarie; daughters, Haley (Travis) Kordosky and Carly; his parents Joseph W and Betty Spaeth; siblings, Joseph C. (Mary) Spaeth, James (Denise) Spaeth, Diane (Marty) Jacobs, Jane (Dave) Gottsacker, Joyce (Keith) Beine, Steve (Janet) Spaeth; sister-in-law, Doralee Piering; niece, Danielle Piering. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jeff is preceded in death by sister Christine Spaeth, parents-in-law Gus and Esther Grisius, and other family and friends.

A “Celebration of Life” Service will be at 6:30PM on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) with Pastors David and Christy Schoob presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday, January 28, 2019 from 3:00PM until 6:15PM.

A special thank you to the Neurosciences ICU at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, his loving and caring nurses in the ICU (especially Blaine and Colleen), and all the other medical professionals that provided comfort and care to Jeff and his family.

Betty and Joe,
I just want to share with you my condolences for Jeff and his family. We spent a little bit of time together doing the Harley-Davidson thing and he was a good person as everyone is from our Nabob family.I'm so very sorry that he couldn't stick around a little bit longer to enjoy family and friends. Jeff will be missed and may God help us all to understand why.

Joe and Betty,so Sorry to hear of the loss of Jeff as I remember him being around and joking often, when I did things with my Classmate Joseph, from the Nabob era. I would run into Jeff in West Bend from time to time over the years and I remember when he told me that he bought a Harley and as a Harley Rider myself we discussed riding and how much fun and exciting it was. Jeff always was joking around and I always got many laughs when I would see him. I was saddened when I heard that his health was declining due to his condition, but I know that he is without discomfort and pain free and laughing right now in a better place then he had been. May the Lord Bless and comfort all of you and your Families in this time of the loss of Jeff and pray for better tomorows for all. Again,I'm so Sorry for your loss, Steve Scharrer

Betty & Joe,
So very sorry for the loss of your son Jeff. I have fond memories of spending time at your bome with one of my best friends Chris. Your family was always welcoming and I do remember Jeff being there as well. It is a blessing to know all of you. Due to the weather today I wasn't able to make it to the funeral. Know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Jeff will live on in all of you
My sympathies to his wife and family too. As difficult a loss this is to you he would like for you to remember all the good times you spent together.
Love and prayers,

Janine (Scharrer) Schroeter
