In Loving Memory of Jerry Dean Schnaare

July 25, 1947 – December 13, 2023

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry Dean Schnaare, aged 76, on December 13, 2023.

Jerry leaves behind his true love and wife of 36 years, Carol Schnaare, their cherished sons Chad, Steven, and Drew, and his four grandchildren and three grand dogs. He also leaves a legacy of love for his pets Lacey, Izzy, and Ali, who were constant companions and a source of joy in his life.

A compassionate realist, Jerry was never short of good advice. His calm and quiet nature made his words all the more impactful. He believed in facing life's challenges with a steady demeanor, offering wisdom that resonated with those fortunate enough to seek his guidance.

Jerry's life was filled with a wide breadth of passions. In his early years, his green thumb emerged as he became an enthusiastic gardener, a place of meditation and focus for his thoughts. As his children grew, Jerry set aside his hobbies and focused on providing an active, healthy environment for his kids at the little lake they grew up on. Here he forged a generational legacy with his sons as he spent every summer weekend on the water where his boys learned to waterski. More recently, he found calm and joy in cycling where he appreciated the simple beauty of the world around him.

Jerry's commitment to discipline and routine were shaped during his days in the Navy. He carried these through to his successful career as an electrical engineer and provider for his family. His passion for his career was matched only by his devotion to his family, and he leaves behind a legacy of hard work, determination, and kindness.

In accordance with Jerry's wishes, a celebration of life will be held in the Summer of 2024 where we will celebrate Jerry's life and remember the happy days we were so fortunate to share with him.

Though Jerry's physical presence is no longer with us, his quiet strength, calming smile, and dry sense of humor will forever resonate in the hearts and memories of those who were so fortunate to share life with him.

May he find peace in the embrace of the great outdoors he so dearly loved.
