Obituary for Joseph Sojak Sr.
Joseph Sojak Sr., age 93, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2023 at the Wellington Place in Hartford, WI. He was born in Yugoslavia on September 4, 1929 to Johann and Elisabeth (nee Rehor) Sojak. Joseph was a member of the Carpenters and Joiners Local #264. He was also a longtime member of the Richfield Sportsman's Club. Joseph enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching the Packers and spending time with family.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 72 years, Mary(nee Rieger)Sojak, 3 children, Joseph L. Sojak, Elizabeth (nee Sojak) Bastian, and Marianne Sojak. One sister Theresia Korsch, 7 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, sister Maria (Sojak) Ascher and brother in laws Korbinian Ascher and Gerhard Korsch.
A Private Family Celebration of Joseph's life will be held at a later date.
