Obituary for Karen Allison Lewis (Austin)
Karen A. Lewis (nee Austin) passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the age of 87. She was born in Maple Grove, WI, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Margaret Austin. Karen was the wife of the late Richard Lewis.
Karen enjoyed opera music, traveling and was an active member at the Washington Co. Senior Center, Lions Club, The Red Hat Society, and was senior of the year and received the American Red Cross Award. She attended UW Whitewater and was a very independent person.
Karen is survived by her grandson Ryan Hogan; granddaughter Emily Hogan; brother William Austin and sister Sharon Cutsforth. She is further survived by longtime friend Deb Anderson; daughter-in-law Joy Bushee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Karen was preceded in death by her son Gary W. Hogan, parents, husband Richard, and brother John Austin.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 10:00am until 11:45am, with the Memorial Service at 12:00pm, at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Red Cross, would be appreciated.
