Obituary for Keith James "Beaver" Cleven

Keith “Beaver” James Cleven of Cedarburg passed away unexpectedly on Friday August 12, 2022. Keith was born on December 9th, 1963 and was 58 years old at the time of his passing.

Keith enjoyed spending time outside, with one of his favorite outdoor activities being hunting with his sons, Eric and Travis. Together, they enjoyed turkey and deer hunting up North or by Keith’s in-laws. Keith also enjoyed fishing with his family, whether he caught the biggest, smallest, or no fish at all (even though he always thought he got the biggest one). He loved teaching and playing cribbage with family and friends. Keith’s favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends, and he had no trouble making new friends wherever he went. He truly was the life of every party, and he always knew how to put a smile on your face.

Keith married his best friend and love of his life, Judy, on August 1st, 1992 and they spent 30 wonderful years together. They built their life together in Jackson, starting a family in 1995 with their first born son, Eric, who was born while they finished building their forever home. Keith and Judy continued adding to the family with their second son, Travis, born in 1998, and first daughter, Rose, born in 2003. In 2005, they added their last daughter and youngest child, Grace, to the family. Once our family was complete, we spent as much time together as we could, making wonderful memories that we will cherish forever.

Keith is survived by his wife, Judy (Schreiber) Cleven; his children, Eric, Travis, Rose, and Grace. His siblings, Cynthia (David) Boreen, Dianne (Gary) Stephani, Bonnie (James) Worlund, Christian (Darcy) Cleven, and Jason Cleven. His parents-in-laws, Donald and Angela Schreiber. His brother-in-law Jim Schrieber. He is survived by countless nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and close friends.

Keith is preceded in death by his mom and dad, Ruth (Van Lanen) and David Cleven, and his brother William Cleven.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Phillip Funeral Home (1402 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) from 10 AM to 12:15 PM. Service to follow with Deacon Gary Stephani presiding.

A special thank you to the EMS and Police of Mequon and Thiensville, along with others on the scene, for their services.

Keith was loved by all, especially his family and friends. He will truly be missed by so many. We love you dad.
