Ev and Shirley were such a great couple. They lived in Cedar Lake Hills near me and we quickly became friends in 1984. Shirley and I had so much in common. She taught me so much about plants and she shared many with me and my friends as well. Her garden was a feast for the eyes and all senses. Ev was the artist and I have a few treasures from both of them. For our 25th anniversary, I gave her an old window from our home divided into four and she and Ev painted the four seasons of our home. It is so wonderful. The details are unbelievable. Shirley and Ev painted two wooden bracelets I treasure. One of our home and all the boats we’ve owned and the Yacht club. The other is the Santa bracelet I wear every year at Christmas. She taught me how to paint a barn snow scene on a box. They both were so talented. We are all better people to have known them.
