Obituary for Loren Michael Willis II

Loren Michael Willis II died unexpectedly on March 8, 2023 in the Village of Hartland, Wisconsin. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. Loren was born on August 8, 1994, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the parents of Loren Willis and Donna Hembel-Willis.

Loren professed hope in Jesus Christ as a teenager. He attended St. Peter Catholic Church, in Slinger, Wisconsin.

Loren graduated from Slinger High School in 2013, where he played football on the varsity team. He continued his postsecondary education, studying law enforcement at Milwaukee Area Technical College. He graduated with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Waukesha Technical College in 2020.

In his teens, Loren was very active in the Young Marines and was a Police Cadet. He was very passionate about serving his community. Loren volunteered at the Washington County Humane Society, Community Brainstorming Conference of Metro Milwaukee, African World Festival, West Bend Annual Walk/Run, and served the public at the annual Salvation Army Christmas Dinner.

Loren enjoyed spending time with family, especially on vacations. He found much pleasure in watching documentaries and learning about the past. He was an avid reader and his favorite subject was history.

Loren was employed by Elite Security and the Wisconsin State Fair. Serving in many capacities, he was often recognized for his strong work ethic. On the job, he continued a life of service, by mentoring and training other personnel. He recently became a certified instructor.

Loren leaves to cherish his memories, mother, Donna Hembel-Willis of West Bend, WI, father and step-mother, Loren and Berneice Willis of Brentwood, TN, aunt, Georgia (John) Wukstich of Seattle, WA, uncle, Floyd Hembel of West Bend, WI, cousin, Leslie Wukstich of Washington, DC, cousin Peter Wukstich of Seattle, WA, step-brother, Darrec Anderson of Nashville, TN, step-sister, Chandra Anderson of Nashville, TN, two step-nieces, Briley and Christian Anderson of Nashville, TN, and a host of other relatives and friends, along with his pride and joy, his pet companion, Archer.

Loren was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harvey and Lorraine Hembel, paternal grandparents, Helen Willis, Wiley and Laura Eddie, aunt, Laura Hayward, and uncle, Clarence Willis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 pm at St. Peter Catholic Church, 200 E. Washington St., Slinger, WI, with Father Richard Stoffel officiating Friday, March 17, 2023. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am – 11:45 am at the church. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warriors Project, Washington County Humane Society, St. John’s Cathedral or St. Peters Catholic Church in Slinger, WI.
