Obituary for Mark Dunker

Mark Dunker

Passed unexpectedly on Friday, December 30, 2022, at the age of 33. He was born in Colorado and moved to the West Bend area in 1998, at the age of 9. Mark graduated from West Bend High School and worked with his mom and sisters as a dog groomer at Pooch Palace for 10 years.

Mark loved all types of people, young and old, and his eclectic taste for music was from all eras, and genres, and he loved sharing those songs with his sister. Animals were high on his list of "Loves" also. He was an "Animal Whisperer".

Mark stayed at the Exodus House in Kewaskum, where he got involved with AA and NA meetings. He met a big network of friends within and out of recovery. The family would like to express eternal gratitude to Lexi Hermes, and Kenya from THe Milwaukee Rescue Mission for speaking words of LIFE during the last 8 weeks of Mark’s time here. It is because of these words that we are now able to rest knowing that he is in the hands of Our Lord.

Mark is lovingly survived by his son Finnegan Dunker; parents Dawn (Jim) Dunker; siblings Tannen, Brylan, and Emryn Dunker; Finnegan's mother Elizabeth Schroeder; maternal grandmother Ann Rohr; maternal grandfather Henry (Vicki) Rohr; aunt Connie and uncle Jack. He is further survived by other relatives and many, many friends. Mark was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather.

A Celebration of Mark's life will be held on Sunday February 12th at 5 PM at Foundry45 in Kewaskum

In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made to the go fund me to cover his final expenses. Any funds left will be put into a trust fund for his son Finnegan. Click here to contribute.
