Obituary for Michael John "Mikey" Schneider
Michael "Mikey" John Schneider, age 36, of Columbus, Wisconsin was welcomed to eternal life after his courageous battle with cancer on December 23rd, 2021. He was born on December 26, 1984, in Algoma, Wisconsin to Mark and Colleen (nee Brusky) Schneider. Michael was raised in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin and graduated from Lakeside Lutheran High School in Lake Mills in 2004. Growing up, Michael was a member of Saint Steven Lutheran Church.
Michael was passionate about his work as a Professional Semi-Truck Driver and was employed at Scott Logistics before his passing. Michael was married to the love of his life, Brittany (Schmelebeck) on October 24th, 2020, in Lomira, Wisconsin.
Michael was the happiest going on road trips and vacations to explore new places with his beloved wife. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Michael lived for spending time with his family, his friends, and his beloved pet ferrets- Timon and Pumbaa. There was nothing that Michael couldn’t fix. In his free time, he also enjoyed some woodworking, watching sports on TV, finding new recipes to make for dinner on Pinterest, and attending Brewer Games with his wife and his friends.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Brittany Schneider (Schmelebeck); his mother, Colleen Radmann; his brother, Adam (Kelly) Wendelborn; uncles, Brian Brusky, and Dennis (Joanne) Schneider; aunts, Lori (Orville) Nichols, Linda (Lee “Swede”) Erickson, and Louise Paplham-Pionke; parents in-law, John and Christyne Schmelebeck; brother in-law, Brandon (Kallie) Schmelebeck; Brittany’s grandparents, Carol (James) Medrow, William “Bill” Johnson, and Robert (Elizabeth) Schmelebeck; Brittany’s uncles, William Johnson and James (Shari) Schmelebeck; and Brittany’s aunt, Roxanne (Patrick) Wiese. He is further survived by his step-father Dave Radmann, other relatives, and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Mark Schneider, and his grandparents, Frank and Marlene Brusky, and Raymond and Mabel Schneider.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 7th, 2022, at Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W Paradise Drive) in West Bend, Wisconsin. Visitation is from 4:00 pm with a service to follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor John Bass officiating. MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED
