Obituary

Norvin E. Lehman, age 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Friday, March 29th, 2019. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and never missed any sporting or school events. He retired from Wacker Corporation in 1997, and was with the St. Lawrence Fire Department, Moose Lodge #1398, a Leader in 4H, and was an avid NASCAR fan. Norvin served in the US Army.

Norvin is survived by his wife, Eileen, Lori, Steven (Jennifer), and Michele Lehman; Grandchildren Frank Chalfant, Kevin, Christian, Dominic, and Carly Leiske, and Shane and McKenzie Lehman; and a great-granddaughter Evelina; Godchildren Ronald (Maureen) Lehman and Shirley (Tom) Koppen. Siblings Merrilee Lehman and John “Jay” (Vicki) Lehman; sister-in-law’s Della Lehmann, Barbara (Joseph) Schemenauer, and brother-in-law Ralph Wiedmeyer . Further survived by fur babies Samuel and Sauli, many friends and other relatives.

Norvin is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Melinda Lehmann, parents-in-law Clarence and Lucille Schemenauer, brothers Edward and Darrell, sisters Darlene Carlson, Kay Kirchoff and Lila Poremba. Brother in law Clarence (Karen) Schemenauer Jr., and sister-in-law Diane Wiedmeyer.

There will be a Memorial Service for Norvin at 4:30 PM on Friday, April 5th, 2019 at St. Johns United Church of Christ (520 W. Washington Street, Slinger, WI, 53086). There will be a visitation at the church from 1:00 until 4:00 PM, followed by a Fire Department walk through and Moose Lodge Service. Military honors and reception to follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Norvin’s name are appreciated to St. John’s United Church of Christ (520 W. Washington Street, Slinger, WI, 53086)

The family would like to thank the V.A., St Luke’s and St. Joe’s Hospital for their care of Dad over the years. The family is especially appreciative of St. Luke’s, where he got a successful heart transplant in 2001.

Please consider organ donation. We celebrated 18 bonus years with Norvin thanks to the generosity of organ donation.
