Obituary for Peter John Swanson
Peter John Swanson, age 57, was born to eternal life on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the Kathy House Hospice in West Bend, WI. He was born on September 30, 1966, to Charles and Brenda (nee Stokhaug) Swanson.
Peter is survived by his wife of 32 years, Janet (nee Schlatterer). His sons Joshua (Keelee), and Jeremiah (Miika), sisters-in-law Ellyne and Susan Schlatterer. Siblings: Lisa (Michael) Moen, Chris (Kathy) Swanson, Lynn (Ken) Burch, Andrew Swanson, preceded in death by brother Eric. Peter was raised beyond age 11 by his aunt and uncle, Sondra and John Gnacinski with cousins, Al, Lynn, Laurie, Debra, Tammy, Stephen, and Thomas. Other relatives and friends further survive him.
Pete served his country in the US Army and was a former Army Ranger. He lived for the Packers, Brewers, Purdue University, and UW Madison sports. He enjoyed hiking, biking, riding/rowing on his Peloton, and hanging out with his beloved dog, Kona.

A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, May 18th, 2024, at 2:30pm at Peace Lutheran Church (1001 Center St. Hartford, WI 53027) with Pastor Joshua Hanson presiding. Visitation will be at church on Saturday, May 18th from 12:30pm until 2:15pm. Military Honors will follow his Memorial Service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Fisher House Wisconsin (fisherhousewi.org), The Kathy Hospice in West Bend, or The American Cancer Society.
