Richie was very special to our entire family he kept an eye on our kids when they were teenagers, especially when we were not home. However one of the boys managed to out smart him and had all his friends park over by the lake and he took several trips with his man van bring them to the house ( Rich got a little suspicious after I think the 7th trip or so. You could never utter a word about needing to do anything around the house because if he heard it, that chore was done before you came home from work the next day.( many trees cleared from the yards that way). His daily pranks and jokes made life just a little easier for all of us! We had the privilege of living next door to him for 18 wonderful years and he enRich'd our lives tremendously! He helped us get ready for every graduation party, subdivision and Christmas gathering, he was always all there to help no matter how busy he was. He worked from early sunrise to way past sunset, and played just as hard. My very favorite memory of all time was playing a prank on our dear neighbors Angel & Debbie they had been out for the night so Rich called over and asked if e had any old Christmas lights. We did and met him outside, we went over and unplugged their Christmas lights on their house, he then wheeled their trash can to the middle of their driveway and we took all the old lights and cut them up threw some in the trash can, some hanging out and some on the ground. We hightailed it home and turned off the lights to our houses when we had spotted their vehicle........ we tried to avoid taking that call all the while giggling and almost peeing our pants from laughter. This was just one of the many many memories we shared living next door and we are so extremely fortunate we were neighbors for 18 years and friends for many more...... our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family!
