Obituary for Robert John Machnik
Robert John Machnik, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at his home in Rhinelander. He was born in Milwaukee, WI to Richard and Dolores(Baumgartner) Machnik on May 5, 1952. Robert attended schools in Milwaukee and graduated from Pius XI High School in 1970. After high school Robert completed his teaching degree at the University of Wisconsin - Stout and taught at Milwaukee Public Schools for 30 plus years.
Robert retired and moved to, what was previously, his summer home, in Rhinelander, in 2007. He made many friends and acquaintances there and enjoyed joining them for dinner and get togethers.
Robert enjoyed bike riding, the outdoors, visiting with his college friends who called him “Mac” and friends from Rhinelander. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family including his two daughters and grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his daughters Kristin Searing of Hartford, WI, and Karin (Vincent) Farina of Oak Creek, WI, grandchildren Jay and Kaylynn, sister Diane (David) Graczyk of Madison, nieces Sara Arvold and Julie Graczyk, other family and many friends. Robert is preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 11:00AM until the 1:00PM. Memorial Service at 1:00 PM at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for a Memorial Bench.
