Obituary for Samuel George "Sam" Olivo

Samuel “Sam” G. Olivo, age 74, passed away on November 5, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on June 4, 1949 to Antonio and Dolores (nee Winkel) Olivo. 

Sam honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 – 1971 as an aircraft and engine mechanic.  He served during the Vietnam Era and proudly earned many decorations and medals. 

He enjoyed many hobbies over the years including hunting and fishing, golf, and muscle cars. Sam loved to watch old western movies, baseball, football, and he was an avid NASCAR fan. 

Sam is survived by his loving children, Chris (Candi), Tina, and Candice; grandchildren, Daymon, Evan, Caleb, Mitchell, Samantha, Cole and Madelyn; brothers, Anthony (Jeri Ann) and Marc (Candy); sister-in-law Lila Olivo; lifelong and trusted friends, Eddie (Mary) Opper; siblings-in-law, David (Jess) Kundert, Sandy Eichmann, and Mark Kundert. He is further survived by other relatives and many dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife Pam; brothers, George and Mike.


The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 24 at 2:00 pm at Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W Paradise Dr., West Bend, WI 53095) with Pastor Josh Ramirez presiding.  A Military Honors Ceremony will follow the service.  The Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 24 from 12:00 pm until 1:45 pm.
