Obituary for Shirley Kathleen Rozek (Fettig)
Shirley Kathleen Rozek (nee Fettig), age 73, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Compassionate Heights of West Bend. She was born on August 19, 1950 to George and Pauline (nee Heilman) Fettig.
Shirley enjoyed her flower gardens, and family adventures, but most of all being a wife, mother and grandmother. She worked for the West Bend school district for over 15 years and found her true calling being a part of the special education department. Starting as a teacher's aide all the way though her jobs program to get kids working in the community. Shirley was also involved with the special education religious classes at Holy Angels. Over the years she has impacted many young lives... a helping hand and a kind smile for all!
Shirley is survived by her 2 sons, Dan (Jennifer) and Stephen (Anna); grandchildren, Lindsey, Tanner, and Samuel. Siblings Bernetta Alliet, Dave Fettig, Randy (Kathy) Fettig, Jerome (Dana) Fettig. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband and best friend Dan, her parents George and Pauline, siblings, George Fettig, Raymond Fettig, sister-in-law Ruth Fettig, and brothers-in-law David Alliet, Gary Chepeck.
A Funeral Service will be at 12:00PM on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) with Deacon Mark Jansen presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, January 20th from 10:00AM until 11:45AM. Interment will follow at Washington County Memorial Park.
