Shirley M. Russell (nee Ramthun), age 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon. Shirley was born June 18, 1939 to Arnold and Clara (nee Stern) Ramthun. She married Michael Russell, the love of her life, on October 10, 1964. They started their journey together in Milwaukee, built their first home in Hartford and eventually moved to Minocqua. She enjoyed gardening, trips to the casino, cooking and time spent with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Michael (10-30-21), her sister Dolores Hensen (11-11-21), her nieces husband Gary Heiting (11-19-21). Shirley is survived by her brother-in-law John Hensen; nieces Kim Heiting, Dawn (Jeff) Smith; great-nephews Nicholas Heiting (great-great niece Harper Heiting) and Jason Heiting. A special thank you to her second family at Serenity Villa and the great caregivers at Lawlis Hospice. A Private Family Graveside Service will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
