Obituary for Susan Mary "Suzie" Michaelson (Fichtner)
Susan Mary Michaelson (Suzie) was welcomed home by her Savior on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the age of 69. She was born to Joseph and Grace Fichtner on December 29, 1953.
First and foremost, Suzie was a child of God who lived out her faith in Christ in every aspect of her life. It defined her. The light within her radiated to all who knew her. Suzie never missed an opportunity to share the love of Christ with those around her.
The thing that brought Suzie the greatest joy was her family. Being surrounded by her children and grandchildren completed her. It was her happy place.
In addition to family, Suzie was driven by her love for travel. She was truly in her element while on a beach in Jamaica and was passionate about helping others create lifelong memories as a travel consultant.
Suzie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jeffrey; children Gabriel (Luciana), Andrew (Hannah), Rachel, and Abby (Samuel); 15 grandchildren (Calista, Lucio, Kenan, Christopher, Maverick, Salena, Charlie, Hawkins, Bentley, Brielle, Nevaeh, Finley, Winnie, Harmonie and Emmie); and siblings Mark (Melissa), Gary (Cathy), Gina (Bob), Brian and Paul (Annie).
Suzie is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Grace, infant brother Joseph and her brother Dean.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Suzie’s life will be held on Monday, July 24th, at Calvary Church in West Bend (1110 E Decorah Road, West Bend, WI 53095). There will be a visitation from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. The service will begin at 6:00 PM, followed by a time to visit and share a light meal.
