Obituary for Viola Julia Mehrens (Trinkl)
Viola J. Mehrens “Chickadee Grandma”, age 94 of Jackson went home to the Lord Saturday, June 24, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin February 23, 1929, the daughter of Cecilia (Fischl) and Joseph Trinkl.
Viola is survived by her children, Michael (Robin) Mehrens, Bruce (Linda) Mehrens, Nancy (Gary) Pape, Brian Mehrens, Linda Venus and Mark Mehrens. Also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband Lawrence Mehrens, Brother Joseph Trinkl, Son-in-law Michael Venus, Daughter-in-law Georgie Mehrens.
Vi spent many years volunteering at the church in various roles. She enjoyed sharing her knitting talent providing newborn babies with home made knit hats. She had many near and dear friends that were truly a blessing in her life. Viola was a loyal servant of God and blessing to all who knew her.
Please join the family for a Mass of Christian Burial Friday, June 30th at St. Frances Cabrini, 1025 S 7th Ave, West Bend, WI 53095 at 11:00 am. A visitation will be held from 10:15 – 10:45 am at the church. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery 2:30 pm, 9400 W. Donges Bay Road, Mequon, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: Pierce AFH, 2758 Creekwood Circle, Green Bay, WI 54311~Mark's residence (Viola's son).
