Obituary for Walter J. "Wally" Wojciuk

Walter “Wally” J. Wojciuk, age 100, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 16, 2021 in Port Washington. He was born on February 5, 1921 in Milwaukee, WI to Peter and Natalia (nee Tyminski) Wojciuk. He married the love of his life, Mary Ann Barbara Wojciuk (nee Wood), on February 9, 1946 in Milwaukee. He served in the United States Army for four years during WWII. Owned his own building contracting business for 42 years. He was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Henni Assembly. Wally was an avid big game hunter, who hunted all over the world and enjoyed fishing and golfing. He was a proud member of the Elite Grand Slam Club. Wally was part of The American Legion post #0486 of Jackson, WI.

Walter is survived by his daughter, Susan Sellin; grandchildren, Michael Sellin, Matthew (Nikki Settingsgaard) Sellin, Jessica (Hans) Sellin Blanc, Tina (Jeff) Hinz, Shelly (John) Wojciuk Abbrederis, Garrett Wojciuk, Spencer Wojciuk, Kari Ann (Edward) Mentz, Allan (Dawn) Wojciuk and great-grandchildren. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Walter is preceded in death by his loving wife of 72 years, Mary Ann Barbara Wojciuk (nee Wood), two sons Allan and Gary Wojciuk and his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 24, 2021 at 6:00PM at St. Frances Cabrini Church (1025 S. 7th Ave. West Bend, WI 53095) with Fr. Carlos Londono presiding. Visitation will be at church on Monday, May 24th from 4:00PM until 5:45PM. Private Interment will be next day at St. Adalbert Cemetery.

A special thank you to his home health aide, Jackie White, for caring for him for the last 2 years. Walter had a very special bond with his only daughter, Susan, who he lived with for the last two years.
