Obituary for Wayne C. Fink
Wayne Clyde Fink passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2024, at Serenity Villa in Slinger, WI at the age of 85 years old.
Wayne was born on March 25, 1938, in Delmont, SD, to Fred & Lucille Fink. Wayne graduated from Delmont High School in 1956 and moved to West Bend, WI where he worked at the West Bend Company for 43 years. It was at the West Bend Company that he met his future wife, Mary Ann (nee Polencheck). They married on December 18, 1971.
Wayne enjoyed polka music, going to flea markets all over the state collecting beer bottles and openers, and fixing anything that needed to be fixed in his workshop. He will be fondly remembered for making the best kuchen, a recipe he perfected. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends, telling jokes and stories. His quick wit and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sisters and brother, Doris Lippert, Ronald (Rosemary) Fink, Maxine (Lance) Smith, Myra (Dale) Gunnare, and Marcia (Mike) Miller as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother-in-law Lester Lippert.
To honor Wayne’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
