Obituary for William George "Bill" Faber

William “Bill” George Faber, age 95, of West Bend, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

William was born on October 13, 1928 to Milton and Mildred (nee May) Faber and he married Elma A. Gerlach on July 15, 1950.

William will be sadly missed by his children, William (Tammy) Faber, Jewel (Donald) Ehlke and Holly (Timothy) Steldt; six grandchildren, Kelly (Greg) Bennett, Shawn (Trisha) Faber, Tammy (Eric) Fabitz, Jamie (Alexandra) Ehlke, Courtney (Nathaniel) Weiss and Ashley (Travis) Rasch; and fifteen great-grandchildren, Alicia and Katelyn Bennett, Kora and Kinsley Faber, Emery, Easton and Jax Fabitz, Aubrey, Quinlin, Emileo and Sofia Ehlke, Claire and Amelia Weiss and Addison and Levi Rasch. William is also survived by one brother, Gerald Faber, two sisters, Shirley Klug and June Naumann, two sisters-in-law, Joyce Gerlach and Sharon Gerlach and other family and friends.

Preceding him in death is his wife, Elma A. Faber, his parents, Milton and Mildred Faber, parents-in-law Walter and Vita Gerlach, brother James Faber, sister Mary German, nine brothers-in-law Melvin, John, Glenn, Edwin, Raymond and Eugene Gerlach, LaVern Klug, Edward German and Arthur Naumann, five sisters-in-law Sally, Doris and Jeanice Gerlach, Grace Naumann and Carol Faber.

William loved spending time with his family and enjoyed watching the Brewers and the Game Show Network.



A Funeral Service will be at 5:00PM on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church (777 S. Indiana Ave. West Bend, WI 53095) with Pastor Robert Hein and Pastor Paul Janke presiding.  Visitation will be at church on Monday, December 18th from 4:00PM until 4:45PM.   Private family interment at Washington County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church.
