Obituary for Frances Monona Maeder (Kearley)

(nee Kearley) “Franny”, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at the age of 90 years. She was born on December 5, 1927 in West Bend to Lloyd and Evelyn (nee Mc Connell) Kearley. Franny was raised in West Bend for most of her life. She graduated from South Division High School in Milwaukee. On June 25, 1946 Frances married Victor Maeder and they began their family. Her hobbies and interests include ceramics, gardening, crocheting, her cat Josie, but she especially loved to spend time with her family. She was a member St. John’s Lutheran Church and also a member of the Ladies Aide.

Frances is survived by her children; Michael (Mary) Maeder, Dr. Linda (Diane Fisher) Maeder, Dan (Mary Ann) Maeder, Sandy (Bob) Meyer, Scott Maeder and Tami (Matt Repinski) Maeder, grandchildren; Laura (Rafael) Vela, Aaron Maeder, Brad (Ann) Maeder, Joel (Selina) Maeder, Nicki (Tony) Roethle, Heath (Jodi) Maeder, Missy (Nick) Mueller, Andy Sawyer, and Eric (Alissa) Sawyer, 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a baby girl due in August, her sister Darlene Price, brother-in-law Cliff (Rosemary) Maeder, sisters-in-law; Alice Kohlman, Lucille Koenig and Mary Ann Kearley, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Victor, brother Lloyd Kearley, sisters Irene Feurst and Eleanor Verbanac, brothers-in-law; Howard Kohlman, Charles Feurst and Edward Verbanac, and Guy Price.

A Funeral Service for Frances will be held Saturday, July 7th at 12:00pm at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr.). Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00am until time of service at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Washington County Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank her special friend Barb Hilgendorf, Asera Care Hospice and the staff at the Pavilion of Glacier Valley for all their loving and tender care they gave to Frances. Memorials to the Washington County Humane Society or St. John’s Lutheran Church in West Bend are appreciated.
