Obituary for Arne Joseph Olsen

Arne Joseph  Olsen
Arne J. Olsen, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. He was born in Milwaukee on June 5, 1932 to Arne and Johanna (nee Searth) Olsen. He graduated from Boys Tech High School and married Beverly (nee Smith) on December 18, 1954 in Wauwatosa. Arne served in the US Army in Korea. He was a plumbing designer/ estimator for Ideal Plumbing, liked working with his hands and was known to many as “Mr. Fix It”, enjoyed hobby farming, model trains and RVing. He loved music, witnessing for the Lord and spending time with family. Arne was an active member of Gideons International.

Arne is survived by his wife, Beverly; children, Nancy (fiancé Doug Hasenstein) Fritz, David Olsen, Jeanne (Fred) Kowalski; grandchildren, Anita (Jeremy) McCrohan, Andrew (Rachel) Fritz, Sarah (Lee) Sowin, Rebecca (Drew) Budnik, Jonathan, Erika, and Niklas Olsen, Tiffany and Benjamin Kowalski; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Sawyer, Graham and Elijah; brother-in-law Wayne (Marjorie) Smith; other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Catherine.

The Funeral Service will be at 12 Noon on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend) with Pastor Kevin Sadler presiding. The Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 23rd from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM. Interment will take place at Sunnyside Cemetery in Lannon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gideons or VCY America.
