Obituary for Albert Theodore Herriges

Albert T. Herriges passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the age of 78 years. He was born on June 9, 1935 in St. Michaels to Matt and Leocadia (nee Wilger) Herriges.

Albert dedicated over 40 years as an employee at Gehl Company. After retirement, he also worked a few years at A&W Iron & Metal in Kewaskum.

Albert enjoyed spending time in City Point with his brother, Raymond, where they loved hunting and playing sheepshead. Albert was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and also enjoyed listening and dancing to polka music. He was also skilled in crafting homemade windmills. He loved visiting his family and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Albert is survived by his children Darrell (Bev’ann) of Madison, AL, Kirk (Wendy) of Kewaskum, Debra Helt of Oconomowoc, and Kevin of Hartford; grandchildren Travis, Audra, Zachary, Amber, Eric, Justin, Ashley, Brooke, and Tyler; and a great-granddaughter. He is further survived by his siblings Rita Speth of Milwaukee, Clemens (Edith) of Arkansas, Gerald (Fran) of Sheboygan Falls, Donald (Joyce) of New Fane, Kathleen (Bill) Muldoon of Omaha, NE, Evelyn Marshall of Louisiana, and Andrew (Joyce) of Batavia, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends. Albert is preceded in death by his wife Sandra Endter-Herriges, parents Matt and Leocadia, and siblings Jerome (Rosalie), Joseph (Ethel), Sylvester, Lucille, Raymond (Arlene), and Frank (Eleanor) Herriges. He will be further missed by his dog, Sara.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Dr. in West Bend. A Funeral Service will follow visitation at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the funeral home.
