Obituary for Audrey Marie Sauer

Audrey M. Sauer (nee Nelson), passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Monday January 15, 2018 at the age of 87 years. She was born on April 11, 1930 in Medford, WI to Carl and Marie (nee Dunkel) Nelson and later graduated from Medford High School. For many years, Audrey worked at The Samaritan Home and Jerry’s Restaurant. She loved playing Sheepshead, her casino trips, making homemade cards, but she especially liked to spend time with her family and the little ones.

Audrey is survived by her children; Eileen (Arthur) Schroeder, Rita Kenner, Linda Schnabel, Richard (Sheila) and John (Karen); 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, her brother Allen (Mary) Nelson, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Ruthie, 3 brothers; Raymond, Richard and Carl Nelson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 pm on Saturday January 20th at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N 18th Ave) with Fr. Patrick Heppe presiding. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday January 20th from 10:00 am until time of the mass. Interment will be at Holy Angels Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Pavillion of Glacier Valley and the nurses at Allay Hospice for all the care gave to Audrey.
