Obituary for Cecil Arnold Brown Jr.

Cecil A. Brown, Jr., of West Bend, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 surrounded by his family.

Cecil was born on May 25, 1948 in Milwaukee to Cecil and Cecilia (nee Granatowski) Brown. He married Barbara (nee Graff) on November 16, 1968 at St. Mathias Catholic Church. The couple moved to the West Bend area in 1979 where they raised their family. Cecil was a carpenter and was a member of Local Union 2283. Cecil enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren along with working in his garden, camping, hunting and being outdoors. He also loved to train hunting dogs. His dog “Stormy” just received the Master Hunter title which Cecil was very proud of.

Cecil is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Barbara, children Michelle (Mike) Morrison, Jamie (Darcy) Brown, and Heather (Jake) Keller. He is further survived by his grandchildren Tyler (fiancé Katie), Brandon, Chloe, Alyssa, Forrest, and Sawyer, faithful hunting companion Stormy, siblings Frank Brown, MaryAnn (Michael) Brown and Carol (Gary) Kuehl, sisters-in-law Sally Graff and Diane (John) Lanier, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Mass will be at 6:00 pm on Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church (8883 Forest View Rd., Kewaskum, WI 53040) with Father Neil Zinthefer presiding. Visitation will be at the church only on Friday, January 12 from 4:00 pm until time of mass (6:00pm). Memorials are appreciated to the Horicon Marsh Veterans Hunt (W651 Maple Dr., Lomira, WI 53048).
