Obituary for Wesley James Mulder

Wesley J. Mulder of West Bend, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 with his family by his side at the age of 93.

Wesley was born on July 15, 1924 in the Town of Lima in Sheboygan County to James and Mary (nee Carman) Mulder. He served in the US Navy and later married Leona (nee Miske) on June 19, 1948 and would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this June. Wesley was a member of the West Bend Local 2283 Carpenters Union, a long-time member of the American Legion Post #462, and long-time member of Lions Club. After retiring in 1986, Wesley continued to enjoy woodworking and spending time with his family.

Wesley is survived by his loving wife Leona, children Doug (Kathy) Mulder, Christine (Michael) Oertle, Monroe (Debi) Mulder, Ron Mulder, Sandra (Herb) Krier, Andrew Mulder and Joel Mulder. Further survived by 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, siblings Janet (David) Walvoord, Charles (Judy) Mulder, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, son Russell, sisters Lucille Larson, Edith Orlenko, and Ellen Rafferty, brothers David Mulder and Willard Mulder.

A Funeral Service will be at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Fifth Ave. United Methodist Church (323 S. 5th Ave., West Bend) with Rev. Clarissa Martinelli presiding. Visitation will be at the church only on Wednesday, April 18 from 1:00 pm until the time of service (3:00 pm).
