Obituary for Gail Ann Csuk (Hawkins)

Gail Csuk
January 23, 1949 – April 17, 2018

A life well-lived is defined by what we contribute, how we love and who we become.

So … I was born; I blinked; and it was over. No buildings named after me; no monuments erected in my honor. In my short journey here, I’ve had the pleasure of being a devoted loving wife, a comforting mother, a true and loyal friend, and a spoiling grandmother. I leave behind my husband Joseph Csuk. We have been together 49- years and are blessed with two wonderful children; son Robert Csuk, daughter Angel Csuk-Yako. I am eternally grateful for knowing and loving our son-in-law John Yako. And just when I thought I was too old to fall in love again, I became a grandmother to our beautiful granddaughter Kayla Yako. My life was not without loss, yet with loss comes love. I am greeted in my new journey by my grand-angel Klarissa Yako, who has welcomed me with smiles. How much more blessed can a person be? So, in the end, remember: Do your best in everything, find your joy, and follow your arrow. And whatever you do, never stop smiling. If you want to, you can look for me in the evening sunset, with the earliest spring daffodils, amongst the fluttering butterflies, and the gentle breeze touching your skin. You know I’ll be there in one form or another. Of course, that will probably comfort some while antagonizing others, but you know me… it’s what I do. Please don’t cry because I’m gone; instead be happy that I was here. Today I am happy, I am with no pain, and I am dancing and laughing with those gone before me - Probably naked. Love you forever.
