Obituary for Brian James Priestaf

Brian J. Priestaf, 61, entered into eternal life on Friday, October 24, 2014. He was born in Hinsdale, IL on June 9, 1953 to Donald and June (nee Thomas) Priestaf. He was raised in Slinger and graduated from Slinger High School Class of ’71 and UW-Milwaukee. Brian, along with his wife Pam, own CDM Tool & Manufacturing in Hartford. He loved working on his 170 year-old log home and other projects over the years. He also loved golf and enjoyed skiing. Above all, he cherished time with his immediate and extended family members, including taking family vacations. He was a selfless and honorable man in a business sense, spiritual sense and throughout life. He was a role model to many. Brian was currently a member of Cedar Springs Church in Slinger.

Brian has a long list of accomplishments and organizations that he was actively involved with to include: Hartford Rotary President, Paul Harris Fellow, former St. John’s UCC Church (Slinger) Council President and Sunday School teacher of Junior High students for many years, Lomira Area Education Foundation Treasurer, Theresa Township Zoning Board, Theresa Fire Department Treasurer, Wisconsin FBLA Business Person of the Year, Hartford Area Development Secretary, Slinger School Tech Ed Advisory Board, Moraine Park Technical College Tech Ed Advisory Board and numerous other organizations. Brian was extremely passionate and committed to the tool & die industry, CDM Tool & Manufacturing employees and the company.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela (nee Witte); children Nicole (Andy) Selner and Jonathan; grandchildren Cayden and Gavin Selner; brother Mark (Tamia) and sister Tammy Priestaf Cannon; in-laws Curt and Marilyn Witte; siblings-in-law: Jean (Tom) Rutherford, Susan (Mel) Laehn, Trish (Clay) Elftman, Cheri (Kevin) Boreen, Scott (Sally) Witte, and Brett Witte. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Brian is preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Paul Thomas Priestaf.

The Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 6:00 PM at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI 53095) with Pastor John Bass presiding. The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29th at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be distributed to Cedar Springs Church, Hartford Rotary, Multiple Myeloma Foundation and toward a scholarship for tool & die students.

The family would like to thank Dr. Hari and the staff of Froedtert Memorial Hospital for their loving and tender care as well as Zilber Hospice staff, church family and other wonderful family and friends.
