Obituary for Daniel Paape

Daniel Paape, age 71, passed away on October 2, in Madison, WI due to complications of esophageal cancer. He was born to Stanley and Genevieve (nee Schulist) Paape on June 21, 1945 in Milwaukee, WI.
Dan graduated from Rufus King High School in 1963 and then served in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged in 1971. He was quite the artist and enjoyed carving bird decoys and drawing wildlife scenes. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being outdoors.
Dan is survived by his children, Kari (John) Mutz of West Bend, WI, Brian (Ixtchell) Paape of Phoenix, AZ, and Kelley Paape of Waukesha, WI; his brothers David (Christine) Paape of West Bend, WI and Dale (Marsha) Paape of Peoria, AZ and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Genevieve, and his sister Sue Ann Grimm.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30PM on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend, WI). Friends will be received at the funeral home from 4:00PM until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society (N19 W24350 Riverwood Dr., Waukesha, WI 53188)
