Obituary for Diane E. DuKatz (Bradshaw)

Diane E. DuKatz, of West Bend, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015. She was born in West Allis, WI to the late Howard and Ellen (nee Daley) Bradshaw.

Diane was employed by the West Bend School District for 14 years as an instructional aide. She then spent 17 years employed by the city of West Bend as the Coordinator of Community Cable Television. Diane was also involved in many civic organizations which include WB Softball Association where she was the VP, Kids summer coach for 9 years, Youth Softball Tournament Director, Teen Center Director, Mayor’s Teen Center Task Force, WB Teen Factory Treasurer and the WB Centennial visual chair person. Diane was also involved in the Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse of Washington Public Relations Marketing Plan, Washington County Volunteers for Youth, West Bend School District Marketing Communication Committee, Strategy 10 Action Planning Committee and the Technology Committee. Diane was the Coordinator and Supervisor for Project Seek (Safe, Educated, Enriched, Kids).

Prior to being hired on, Diane was a volunteer for Community Cable for 4 years. She spent two years developing the History of West Bend video from the beginning through 1985. Diane worked very hard on the Bi-directional 6-strands of dark fiber for the city, UWWC and MPTC network and the distance teaching equipment for the city’s fire department.

Diane was a past presenter of Wisconsin Association of Public Education Government channels. She was a professional member of Alliance for Media National Organization and the Wisconsin Association of PEG Channels. Diane received numerous awards over the years some of which included The Vicky and Doc Gonring Award, Kettle Moraine Chapter 448, Honor Citation of Commendation from Washington County Overall Economic Development program and the Wisconsin School Public Relations Spectrum Award.

Diane is survived by her children; Eugene (Betsy) of New Berlin, Debbie Kutz (Bob Bozora) of Kewaskum, Denise (Tim) Grudzielanek of Prosper, Texas and Tracy (Rick) Schultz of West Bend; grandchildren Sam, Grace, Lucy and Cooper DuKatz, Trenton Kutz, Brandon and Kayla Grudzielanek, Matthew, Christopher and Steffanie Pohl; great-grandchlidren Everlett and Xander Kutz, Tayler Wasilewski and Mattea Pohl. Preceded in Death by her parents; son Paul DuKatz; grandson Troy Grudzielanek and Special Friend Tony Miller.

A Private family interment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, any memorials should be sent to her children.
