Obituary for Doris Clara Duehning

Doris Clara Duehning, 84, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, surrounded by her family in Hurst, Texas. A native of Barton, Doris was born Jan. 2, 1928, to Frank and Elizabeth (nee Hahn) Kohlman. She moved to Texas in 1976 where she worked for the Allied Pilots Association. Following retirement she served as a volunteer to numerous religious organizations.

Doris is survived by her sons Michael (Cindy) Duehning, Edward Duehning Jr. and Harriet Gilligan; daughters Mary (David) Miller and Michelle (Scott) Cannon; grandchildren Cristin, Timothy, James and Joseph; great-grandchildren Sarah, Ava, Bennett, Lauren, Reagan, Dylan and Madison; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; three siblings; and her husband Edward Duehning.

Visitation was held at Lucas Funeral Home (1321 Precinct Line Rd.), Hurst TX on Monday, November 17 from 6-8 p.m. and will be held at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr.), West Bend on Thursday, November 20 from 4-8 p.m. Interment will take place on Friday, November 21 at 11 a.m. at Washington County Memorial Park. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association appreciated.
